Vinnie buzz invited myself down to Limerick tomorrow night to show all the heads over there how its done in Galway. Funktion one soundsystem and seriously mucky tunes. Gonna be a killer!
Ordering Tshirts again lads. They'll probably work out around 10 bucks. Was gonna get em white logo on black but if you get back to me quick i might be able to take requests
MRK1, Manchester's Dubstep pioneer steps up to give us this incredible relentless mix, its damn impressive. We had him over a year or two in the pucan, the place was wedged wall to wall. I have to admit after hearing this mix I've the urge to book him again...
We'll be soundclashing it up this weekend with Cork crew World Bass Culture in Cyprus Avenue. 4 back2back sets from corks 2 sickest bass crews should be awesome. Doors at 9 and battles start at 10.
a massive party to raise funds for the legendary Rave on Avon event (Sep 25th); a 10 night club link up showcasing the very best of South West electronic music as part of the Bristol Festival.
Featuring Phonetik B2B NinjaBit finishing up the night in room 3 !!!
After an explosive dancefloor set incorporating so many styles in Cork last month (really was a fave of mine this year), Psymonok rejoins the crew tomorrow night in Cuba alongside my boys Mick and Dez of the notorious local Data crew and DubCulture resident Phon:etik. Cuba is the best room in town, these are the best DJs in town, playing the best choons that you'll hear in town....Funktion 1 rig, 7 euro at the door...in the words of the great urban poet tupac, mamma didnt raise no fool, be there!!!
Well well well....long time no update. Thought I'd better make a quick entry to update you all with some of the things we've been up to, are up to and will be up to this summer. Galway gigs are now in Cuba, best spot in town even if i do say so myself! 3rd night in there happening tomorrow but more on that later. 3rd release (featuring RSD and a debut from K3Bee on the flip) made quite an impressive showing getting a nice bit of play both here and on radio across the water,. Reached no.5 in the chemical-records chart.
We do love a outdoor summer festival at dubculture, and we'll be quite a few this summer (confirmations to come). Life being the first one up, line up this year is great and we'll be contributing this this awesome-ness a good bit throughout the weekend so do come along. Click the poster for the full up to date line up.
Lots of other things to get out there including Ebola next month in Cork, as well our SoundClash with the WorldBassCulture crew (headed by Mang and Radikal Guru) on the May Bank Holiday weekend, tons more festival announcements, Phon:etik & Ninjabit in Bristol in May, a big names for May and a couple for June and the forthcoming release of 004 so watch this space.
i'l leave ye with my fav release this week for ye. Like this blog (i hope) the welcome return of a long lost friend, heres Mala & Coki doing what they do best, making unreal choons. Lets hope its not so long next time!
